CoVo Ministry Programs

A university degree for the co-vocational Christian

About the CoVo Religion Track

The Division of Religion at SWU recognizes a growing need for multi-skilled pastors in ministry and ministry-minded individuals in the workforce. According to a recent survey by Barna, more than half (55%) of U.S. pastors had another career before going into ministry and 26% remain bi-vocational, currently holding some other kind of role in addition to pastoring. The CoVo program is designed for the co-vocational Christian: the student looking to be an effective minister in both the church and the workplace.
