Use computer science to change the world.

The B.S. in Computer Science is designed to equip students for high-growth, high-demand careers in programming and other computer-related fields while encouraging them to think critically about the relationship of technology to their Christian faith and human flourishing. Through an online partnership with other institutions powered by Rize Education, the Computer Science program offers a strong foundation in programming, systems, and software development with optional concentrations in applied AI, cybersecurity, and data science. The program furnishes students with both core computing knowledge and deeper understanding in an area of specialization, positioning graduates for success in a wide range of professions and postgraduate studies.

Optional Concentrations

In the applied artificial intelligence concentration you'll delve into predictive AI modeling, data structures, prescriptive AI, deploying large language models, and evaluating the trustworthiness of AI outputs. With hands-on projects, industry insights, and a collaborative learning environment, you'll be prepared for diverse career paths such as AI Specialist, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, AI Product Manager, and more.

In the cybersecurity concentration, you will learn about the different types of cyberattacks, how to defend against them, and how to recover from them. You will also learn about network security, cryptography, and other cybersecurity technologies.

The data science concentration equips you with the skills to analyze, interpret, and leverage massive datasets, transforming them into actionable insights. This field prepares you for high-paying roles in an industry that's booming, as businesses and organizations increasingly rely on data-driven decisions in a digital world.
