    Ty the Warrior shows his "TeamSWU" spirit at the new interactive outdoor art installation on campus near Fountain Square. The university's marketing department came up with the design, intended to represent the #TeamSWU hashtag that's used in social media. The Physical Plant team took the design, then cut it out in plate steel and assembled it on campus, just in time for the beginning of the 2018-'19 academic year.

    The year 2018 marked significant developments in SWU academics, including the first-ever doctoral program, an Ed.D. and expansion of online programs. We honored an outstanding coach, saluted our military and said goodbye to those who made a lasting impact.

    SWU commits to no tuition increase for 2019-2020 academic year: Going against a long-standing national trend, SWU announced it will not increase tuition during the 2019-2020 academic year.

    SWU launches new Human Services concentrations: SWU is expanding its Human Services program to better equip individuals for a constantly-growing field.

    A new name for Southern Wesleyan University’s School of Business: The university's School of Business became known as the Benson School of Business.

    SWU rated in ‘Best Bang for the Buck’: Criteria includes graduation rates, students receiving Pell grants and first-gen student performance.

    Southern Wesleyan University salutes military, dedicates monument: Southern Wesleyan University honored veterans and currently serving military during military appreciation events held Nov. 14.

    SWU honors Catron, Wimphrie and Black: SWU celebrated three men and their decades spent making an impact on students and colleagues.

    SWU mourns loss of P.B. Wood: A former administrator and faculty emeritus, Wood touched countless lives throughout his long, dedicated service to SWU.

    Torah Scroll donated to SWU: “It is a lesson of the protection of God’s Word, and the 100 percent accuracy of what we are reading today as His truth,” said Dr. Todd Voss, SWU president.
