2019 5K run to benefit Hope for Haiti

    Southern Wesleyan University Athletics and TRiO Student Support Services is organizing a 5K run Oct. 5 to help bring hope and relief to the people of Old Le Tant, Haiti.

    The run benefits Hope for Haiti, which was organized by a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award winner. Over the past three years, Hope for Haiti has provided solar lighting, sanitary toilets, a water catchment system, chalkboards, school supplies, food, clothing, shoes, medical supplies, and built two new houses.

    Registration for the race starts at 8 a.m. in front of the Welcome Center on Clayton Street at Southern Wesleyan.
