Southern Wesleyan University student Abraham Deng was the focus of an interview by the 700 Club on the university’s campus Nov. 7.

The show’s producers plan to broadcast a story about Deng, who was separated from his family 19 years ago during Sudan’s civil war. Today, Deng is a pre-medicine major, hoping to become a doctor and return to his war-torn country to help his people.

The 700 Club is a talk show that features stories with a Christian perspective. It is produced by the Christian Broadcast Network and is hosted by preacher Pat Robertson. The show airs weekdays across the United States. The story on Deng is expected to air sometime in the spring.
