Rev. Joy Bryant, executive director for alumni and constituent relations, was the guest speaker for the Kannapolis First Wesleyan ladies retreat Sept. 25-28 in Myrtle Beach.

Bryant noted that of the 27 ladies at the retreat, five were mothers of current SWU students and four were current SWU students. During the SWU update night, there were documented 99 connections of various kinds to SWU – alumni, parents of current students, parents of alumni, members of their family (grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles) who were SWU alumni along with, pastors, youth pastors, and friends.

"This was a WOW moment to be in a small group with a ‘big SWU influence,” Bryant said.
