Bart Cone of Pickens, a computer science student at Southern Wesleyan University, placed 79 among contestants from around the world in a computer security competition Sept. 29 and 30. He competed in CSAW CTF, a competition of challenges designed to solve technical security challenges. While most contestants in the field of 240 in the undergraduate category were teams, Cone competed solo, a particularly impressive feat, considering he outranked teams from MIT and Clemson University.
