Local praise teams and choirs participated, encouraging the audience to join in. The event’s theme was “Wings of Glory, Praises to the Lord with Joyful Song.” Emcee for the Gospel Extravaganza was Lori Edwards, music director at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Spartanburg and a 1999 SWU graduate.
