    09.12.08 | Community Freedom's Hill Church

SWU’s Freedom’s Hill Church was a stop on a recent day-long tour of Pickens County hosted by the S.C. Heritage Corridor. Dr. David Spittal, president of Southern Wesleyan, welcomes the group.

Area residents, business leaders and government officials heard the dramatic abolitionist history of Freedom’s Hill, a church that dates back to 1848 and has been relocated to Southern Wesleyan University’s campus in Central. Today, the structure is used for special worship services and is open to the public for tours. For details or to arrange a tour of Freedom’s Hill, please call 864-644-5191.
