    The Regional Science Fair at Southern Wesleyan University March 16 hosted more than 70 projects presented by almost 80 students in grades 3-12 from across Pickens, Oconee and Anderson counties.

    Volunteers from Southern Wesleyan University, Duke Energy, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission served as judges. Cash prizes were awarded to students in each division, thanks to financial support from Duke Energy.     The winners, organized by category, are:

    Grade 3 and 4 - Biological Science:  Third Place – Douglas Reeves, Clemson Elementary School; Second Place – Jack Foulk, Clemson Elementary School; First Place – Hannah Pope, Clemson TEAM.

    Grade 3 and 4 - Physical Science:  Third Place – Kyleigh Evatt, Northside Elementary School; Second Place – Grant Hampton, Oconee Christian Academy; First Place – Taryn Samons, Northside Elementary School.

    Grade 5 - Third Place – Mallory Vischer, Clemson Elementary School; Second Place – Michael Collins, Anderson Homeschooler’s Association; First Place – Ryan Moore, Northside Elementary School.

    Grade 6 and 7 - Biological Science:  Third Place – Isaac Holland, Clemson TEAM; Second Place – Anna Beck, Edwards Middle School; First Place – Islay Thompson, Clemson TEAM.
