Wilbur Williams, a 1947 graduate of SWU, when it was known as Wesleyan Methodist College, spoke to students, faculty and staff during chapel services Aug. 27 at SWU with a message that each individual was created by God to be unique and to be set aside for a purpose.

Williams is an associate professor of Biblical literature and archaeology at Indiana Wesleyan University, “Today, the first day of the rest of your life, affirm that God has made an architectural blueprint on your soul of what you should be,” he said. In his career, Williams has taught more than 15,500 students and led more than 145 trips to Israel, including archaeological digs.
