Southern Wesleyan University announces Martha McMinn as Vice President of Finance & Business Administration as of May 19, 2025

CENTRAL, S.C.—Southern Wesleyan University has named Martha McMinn as the University’s next Vice President of Finance & Business Administration, to begin in May 2025.
“I’m delighted that Martha is joining the Southern Wesleyan University community,” commented Dr. William D. Barker, President. “She and her family are people of great faith in Christ, and Martha has demonstrated a high degree of character and professional expertise in her time at Anderson University. We are excited to work with Martha and excited for our university, given the constellation of talents and experience she brings with her.”

A highly effective leader and an expert in financial management, McMinn has served for eighteen years at Anderson University in the areas of Finance, Administration, Legal, and Human Resources where she has been a valued and integral part of the leadership team. Progressing from her start as an accountant with AU, McMinn currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Finance.
McMinn received her Bachelor of Science from Erskine College in Business Administration, where she also competed on the women’s volleyball team as an NCAA DII athlete. She continued her educational accomplishments with a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University. McMinn also earned her certification as a Professional in Human Resources and is a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt.
McMinn and her husband Rev. Michael McMinn Jr. are longtime residents of the Upstate, where Mike serves as the senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Iva. They are the parents of Alex and Kinsley (married to Logan) and spend their free time in more ministry, writing, reading, and enjoying the great outdoors with their German Shepherd and their rescue pup.
