CENTRAL, S.C. — Southern Wesleyan University’s Criminal Justice Studies program hosted a South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (SCCJA) approved in-service seminar for female graduates who are serving their communities as law enforcement officers. This event welcomed SWU criminal justice alumnae, offered hands-on training and skill refreshment, and provided fellowship among female law enforcement officers and current female criminal justice students.

“We enjoyed welcoming this group of committed female law enforcement officers back to campus who have dedicated their careers to service,” said Professor James McDonald, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Forensic Science. “The sacrifices these individuals make are nothing short of remarkable, and it was a profound honor to have them return to their alma mater for training and fellowship. I am also thankful they were willing to inspire the next generation of SWU criminal justice graduates and discuss future law enforcement career opportunities. The Criminal Justice Studies program is proud of this intelligent and dedicated group.”
