SWU Hosts Annual Scholarship Celebration Luncheon for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

Central, SC — Southern Wesleyan University hosted the annual Scholarship Celebration Luncheon to recognize and honor student scholarship recipients and their generous donors. For the 2025-2026 academic year, SWU had 122 students awarded financial assistance by 111 donor-funded scholarships. The event featured remarks by Dr. Robert McFarland, University Provost and Executive Vice President, and John Power, Assistant Vice President of Advancement and Major Gift Officer. Guests were entertained by the talented University Singers, led by Dr. Amber James Cannady, Division of Music and Fine Arts and Associate Professor of Music.
“It's truly a joy to have this event each year where generous people get to come face-to-face with the grateful recipients of their generosity, said John Power. “Thanks to these donors, our students have the opportunity to receive the biblically faithful, Christ-centered education that Southern Wesleyan aims to provide. And at this event, these students can share a meal, share their stories, and extend their gratitude for the wonderful generosity of these friends and supporters of Southern Wesleyan.”
