For the third year in a row, Southern Wesleyan University is among a select group of colleges and universities that were named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) 2021 Transfer Honor Roll.

The Transfer Honor Roll recognizes four-year colleges and universities that have developed transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students. Colleges were selected based on their Transfer profile in PTK Connect, which includes information about cost of attendance, campus life, admissions practices, and recruitment practices. Results of the profile allow prospective transfer students to find the university that best meets their needs.

“Transfer students make up a large portion of our incoming student body here at Southern Wesleyan University,” said Caleb Southern, Assistant Director of Admissions. “Their admissions experience is very important to us, and we strive to personally address every question or concern that transfer students and their families may have. We are honored to be recognized by PTK again for our work with transfer students!”

Five renewable $1,000 per year scholarships are awarded to members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society who transfer to SWU’s on-campus program. These scholarships are awarded in addition to other sources of eligible institutional aid. In order to qualify, students must submit a copy of their Phi Theta Kappa Society membership and be enrolled as a full-time student in SWU’s on-campus program. The five scholarships will be awarded on a first-come basis and will be applied once a student has been admitted and completed the financial aid process at SWU.
