SWU professor begins international academic assignment
Phil Jeon, professor of economics, is taking time out from his duties at SWU to teach business courses to students enrolled at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea.
He reports that he’s adjusting to life in a small apartment, which the Koreans call an “officetel,” and bearing the heat where air-conditioning is limited. “Students are nice and polite and they are following me pretty well even though the courses are taught in English,” said Jeon, who teaches students from China, Germany, France, Uruguay, Spain and an American from Atlanta.
