    Southern Wesleyan University students are among those listed in the 2006 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”

    Thirteen SWU students have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.

    The students are Timothy Stephen Bowyer of Central, a religion major; Scott Edward Bryson of Pisgah Forest, N.C., a music education major; Kristyn Dawn Dees of Laurens, a psychology major; Cristin Louise Eubanks of North Augusta, a religion major; Ashlee Marie Houser of Denver, N.C., a biology major; Elizabeth Nicole Payseur of Lincolnton, N.C., an early childhood and elementary education major; Melissa Zora Rivera of Simpsonville, a early childhood education major; Jason Andrew Tegen of Central, a religion major; Matthew D. Tietje of Old Fort, N.C., a religion major; Mark Edward Tolan of Central, a religion major; Erin Elizabeth Woodbury of Carmel, Ind., an early childhood and elementary education major; Megan Rae Woodworth of Hanwell, New Brunswick, Canada, a music major; and Megan Ruth Ziegler of Huntsville, Ala., a sports management major.

    Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

    These students join an elite group of students from more than 2,000 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.

    Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
