Southern Wesleyan University received a high ranking in the 2019 Most Affordable Online Colleges for supply chain management.

The award, presented by the website onelineu.org, ranks online schools across the nation that are making an effort to provide economical options for students. Southern Wesleyan was ranked among other institutions having annual tuitions under $14,000. The tuition of every college offering fully online degrees is manually researched and ranked according to affordability. In the category of bachelor’s degrees in supply chain management, Southern Wesleyan was ranked number 21.

“The earnings potential in Supply Chain management is bright, and this field has great potential for advancement in a broad range of industries,” said Dr. Stephen Preacher, dean of Southern Wesleyan’s Benson School of Business.

“This award means that – in addition to the excellent and applicable content of this online concentration taught by academics with extensive experience in the field – SWU continues to provide affordable solutions to the educational needs in this vital area of business administration and operations management,” said Dr. Raul Chavez, associate professor of business.

Southern Wesleyan’s supply chain management concentration, offered within the bachelor of science in business administration program, prepares students to perform essential roles of creating efficiencies in an organization’s sourcing, procurement, operations and logistics management. Students learn how suppliers, intermediaries, third-party providers, and customers are integrated in management of supply and demand both within and across companies.

Other concentrations offered with Southern Wesleyan’s bachelor of science in business administration program are:  accounting, economics and finance, entrepreneurship, general business, human resources management, management and marketing. Minors in international business and financial planning will begin in the 2019 spring semester. For details about these and other degrees, visit swu.edu/business.
