Town of Central honors Rhoads’ memory with proclamation
Marla Rhoads graduated from SWU in 1998 with a degree in elementary education. She also received her master’s degree in education from SWU in 2006. Rhoads was employed by the university when she received her first degree. Rhodes, who was an active promoter of fire prevention at Central Elementary School and Clemson Elementary School, died unexpectedly this year. The day will be observed in the middle of Fire Prevention Week, which takes place Oct. 5-11.
