“This is a great opportunity for both AWP and SWU to partner together to meet the needs of veterans in our area,” said Jason Norton, SWU’s regional director in North Augusta. “They chose us to work with as they grow into Aiken County.”

AWP serves all veterans of all eras and service branches – wounded or not – and their families. They have had a presence throughout the CSRA, but now are in a position to enhance their established services in Aiken County by partnering with Southern Wesleyan in North Augusta.

Towanda Stockton, an advocate for veteran outreach services, will be at SWU Tuesday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. For details about AWP and to make an appointment, call (706) 951-7506 or email .

With regional education centers conveniently located across South Carolina, as well as fully online programs for select degrees, Southern Wesleyan University is a Christ-centered, student-focused learning community devoted to transforming lives by challenging students to be dedicated scholars and servant-leaders who impact the world for Christ.
