Work Study and On-Campus Jobs Timeline
|Fall (August)||1-2 weeks prior to class start||First 2 days of classes in August. Job offers extended to new hires on day 3 of classes.|

Steps for students using a smartphone to view and apply for on-campus or work-study jobs:
Step 2: Once the custom app is downloaded, create a password through the “Get Started” page. You can also go to the desktop version to Create or Find Your Account.
Step 3: Once you have created your password, you can login to the custom app by clicking the “Home” tab. You can also login through a web browser at the SWU Career Link login page (don’t forget to save the login page to your phone home screen as well!)
Step 4: Once you are logged in, click the link for “Jobs” and click the “Choose Job type(s)” dropdown to select “On Campus” and “Work Study” by clicking the appropriate check boxes. Click on the circled check mark next to “Close & Search” to see the open positions.
Step 5: Scroll down to view all available jobs and click the job title to see more details. Please take note of the job description and requirements before deciding to apply. If you are interested in applying, please contact the name of the supervisor and ask them via email if they are available to set up an interview with you.
Steps for students using a smartphone to select an interview time slot:
Step 1: Interviews will now take place by contacting supervisors directly via email and setting an interview time with them individually. Some supervisors may choose to set up an On-Campus Interview through SWU Career Link. If supervisors direct you to schedule an interview time slot through SWU Career Link, please use the following steps.
Step 2: Login at the SWU Career Link login page (don’t forget to save the login page to your phone home screen). Click on “my jobs” and then the tab that says “On Campus Interviews”. Search for any job titles of interest and click on the title to open the desired interview.
Step 3: If you do not see the icon for “Interview Schedule” then click the button that says “Apply”. Ellen Pate will be in contact with you once you have access to sign up for an interview time or you may get an automated email to set up an interview time slot. If you do not hear anything in 24 hours, please contact Ellen Pate at
Step 4: Once you have access to sign up for an interview time you should see the icon that says “Interview Schedule”. Scroll down to find a time that works for your schedule click “Reserve” and click CLOSE to continue from the confirmation page. Hit the refresh button from your browser to see the changes to the interview schedule. You can cancel and reschedule your interview up to 24 hours before the appointed interview.
Step 5: Take note of the date, time, and location of your interview, and show up to your interview on time. Be ready to discuss your interests and skills that could be utilized in the position. Once all interviews have concluded, the supervising office will contact you to let you know if you have been offered the position and will have paperwork for you to complete and take back to the office of Financial Aid for processing. Financial Aid will be organizing all timesheet and payroll information with all hired work-study students, and all questions related to financial paperwork or timesheets should be directed to Janelle Palomo at .
