Through cross-town partnerships, students at SWU have the opportunity to join the Army ROTC or Air Force ROTC at nearby Clemson University. Students can earn military leadership course credits in the ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) program that can be credited as elective hours towards a degree at SWU.
In this program, you will be offered physical and mental challenges geared to help you succeed in college and beyond. You will learn teamwork and be given responsibilities like teaching younger cadets the same skills you have learned.
For its many benefits, ROTC requires only a few hours a week. So it won’t interfere with your required college curriculum or social life.
