I’ve never known where the Lord was taking me in my career. I’ve had a variety of interests and activities outside of academics, from concert band to tap dancing to volunteering for political campaigns. I went to college to major in mathematics (and I did) but I needed to add another major to fill up my time and settled on economics because of how much the courses overlapped. I ended up going to graduate school for economics over math because the subject combined two of my favorite loves: math and politics. Now I get to help others understand both topics better so that they can become not only business people who understand the principles of economics but also better informed voters. I may not have been sure of where God was leading me, but I know He always had a plan!
