Dr. Tiffany Stewart joined Southern Wesleyan University in 2026 as Dean and Chief Nurse Administrator of the School of Nursing. A distinguished advanced practice nurse, educator, and academic leader, Dr. Stewart brings more than 23 years of healthcare experience and an exceptional record of achievement in nursing education, clinical practice, and workforce development.

Before joining Southern Wesleyan University, Dr. Stewart served as the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program Coordinator and Associate Professor at Gardner-Webb University. She previously taught in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at Clemson University, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees. She is a SC native, a graduate of West Oak High School. She and her husband have raised three children while living and working in Oconee and Pickens counties.

Dr. Stewart holds dual board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her professional involvement includes membership in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and the Upstate Nurse Practitioner Association. Most recently, she presented at the 18th National Doctors of Nursing Practice Conference and Academy of Doctoral Prepared Nurses Summit. She is also active in research specifically targeting increasing the behavioral health workforce and access to mental health services.

As Dean, Dr. Stewart is dedicated to cultivating academic excellence, strengthening community and clinical partnerships, and preparing nursing graduates to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. She is deeply committed to Christ-centered education and believes that nursing education within a faith-based university uniquely equips students to serve with humility, integrity, and a calling to care for the whole person.
