At Southern Wesleyan University, students have the chance to participate, organize, and even lead various campus clubs and organizations. Participation in co-curricular organizations at SWU is designed to complement academic studies and assist in preparing students for a life of active service to God and society.

Mission: To provide leadership in promoting physical activity as a chronic disease prevention and management strategy to improve health of faculty, staff, and students on SWU’s campus.

Multi-Cultural Club

Mission: To bring students together to learn and appreciate a variety of cultural backgrounds, while realizing our differences makes us special. To be united with those differences under LOVE, which holds everything in perfect unity (Colossians 3:14).

Outdoor Recreation Club

Mission: Promote active learning, discovery, and collaboration through the deliberate placement and design of learning environments at the heart of the 100-Acre Woods. Plan for greater variety of ways to expose Southern Wesleyan to the community, promoting trails, challenge course and green spaces in the heart of the 100-Acre Woods.

Mission: Science Club seeks to serve both SWU and the surrounding community through the use of the sciences, to encourage and assist in the organization and active functioning of the Science Division, and to create on the Southern Wesleyan University campus an actively involved group of people concerned with bringing a Christian perspective to the community through the use of the sciences.

SWU Bass Fishing (Club Sport)

Mission: The SWU Bass Fishing Club exists to create a place for student anglers to experience fellowship with one another and enjoy fishing together all while learning how to be better bass anglers.

Description: Tournament anglers from the SWU Bass Fishing Club compete in Major League Fishing (MLF) and Bassmaster College Series events throughout the year nationwide.

Mission: The vision for SWU Drumline is to further integrate music into the community and athletic events here at SWU. I want to bring an increase in school spirit and further bond our Christ filled community through music and fun.

SWU Environmentalists

Mission: The purpose of this club is serve as stewards of the earth, which was created for us to live in. The state of the planet has been becoming more and more polluted, and we believe that we were called to take care of the earth. Our goal is to make campus cleaner and eventually become more sustainable.

Student Activities

SWU Student Activities (SWUSA) is the primary student programming body for the university. SWUSA plans various types of student events throughout each semester. Check out the SWUSA Facebook page for pictures from past events and to learn what is coming up in the near future.

Intramural Activities

Intramural activities are designed with you in mind, whether you are a talented athlete or you just think it would be fun to get a team of your friends together to compete. With options year-round, intramural activities exist to provide a fun, active experience on campus.

Game Room

The Game Room is located upstairs in the Campus Life Center and features ping pong, pool, foosball, video game consoles, board games, and more. All equipment is sanitized between uses. The Game Room is currently open during limited hours due to COVID-19. Please wear a mask upon entering.
