December 2018 Graduation Ceremonies

Graduation is a long-anticipated time of celebration for Southern Wesleyan’s graduates and their families and guests. Here you will find information about the schedule of events, along with other helpful details that will help assure a special and memorable experience for everyone. Baccalaureate Service

Thursday, December 6, 2018 — 3:00 p.m.
Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center

The Baccalaureate service (a formal, academic worship service) provides an opportunity to reflect and give thanks for God's faithfulness through the education of our students. Any SWU Online students wishing to participate in this service should notify Academic Records at least three weeks prior to the ceremony in order to be included in the printed program.

Graduation Ceremony — for On-Campus and Online Students

Friday, December 7, 2018 — 3:00 p.m.
Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center

We ask that all guests be seated by 2:45 p.m. to help ensure that the ceremony begins on time. Following the ceremony, the graduates are invited to gather with their guests and faculty outside of Newton Hobson.

All guests must have a ticket for admittance to the ceremony. Guests without tickets will be directed to the overflow areas to view the ceremony on closed circuit broadcast. There will not be extra tickets available. Tickets and regalia will be mailed to online students a few days prior to the ceremony.
