Pre-Nursing Studies (BS)
Caring for others while integrating Christian faith.
Helping others isn’t just something you do. It’s part of who you are. If you feel called to serve in healthcare, Southern Wesleyan University’s Pre-Nursing Studies program is where that calling begins.
Designed to build a strong academic foundation for your nursing education, the program prepares you to succeed through essential science classes such as anatomy and physiology, biology, and chemistry, all taught with a biblically faithful approach. It also strengthens your communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, qualities every exceptional nurse needs.
Pre-Nursing Studies serves as the gateway to SWU’s BSN program. In your first year, you’ll take all the courses required to apply for secondary admission to SWU’s School of Nursing. The program can also be a standalone degree if you’re interested in pursuing other healthcare options.
Whichever pathway you choose, you’ll learn from skilled, compassionate faculty who care deeply about your success and calling and who walk alongside you as you embark on your nursing journey.
