Warriors at heart. Your campus experience may only last a few years, but your connection to Southern Wesleyan can last a lifetime. Stay connected to SWU through events, publications, and social media.
The faith-filled community at SWU is comprised of students, faculty and staff who are passionate about learning and growing, both inside and outside of the classroom.
The focus of the Department of Social Sciences at Southern Wesleyan University is on understanding individual and corporate human experience and behavior across a variety of cultural-historical contexts and applying that understanding to enhancing human experience and performance.
To that end, the mission of the Department of Social Sciences is to challenge and enable students to develop their skills and talents to effectively process, analyze, and synthesize a wide variety of information within the context of a Christian worldview. Students and faculty are called to apply these skills and talents to better understand and to more effectively serve God and creation.
