Registration Open for 2026 South Carolina Region 1 Science Fair
Central, SC — Southern Wesleyan University (SWU) is pleased to announce that registration is officially open for the South Carolina Region 1 Science Fair, taking place Friday, March 20, 2026, on SWU’s campus in Central.
The South Carolina Region 1 Science Fair is an affiliate of the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest and most prestigious pre-college science competition. Each year, ISEF brings together young scientists from around the globe who compete for nearly $9 million in scholarships, prizes, and awards—launching the next generation of innovators.
Students in grades 3 –12 across the Upstate are invited to showcase their research, creativity, and problem-solving skills at this year’s fair. The top high school projects will advance to ISEF, while the top 10% of middle school entrants will be eligible for nomination to participate in the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovators Challenge, the premier national middle school competition.
