Professor Brad Fipps grew up in a farming community near Tabor City, N.C. He lettered in several sports in high school and played football for the winningest high school football coach in North Carolina, Jack Holley. Six days after his 18th birthday, Fipps joined the Army and served continuously for nearly 40 years on Active Duty, in the Kentucky Army National Guard, and the Army Reserves as both an enlisted Soldier and a chaplain. Fipps enjoys learning new and varied disciplines such as electricity, Excel, military history, construction, counseling and finance.
